La Bessade Haute was the (beyond) perfect place for our family holiday! It is in the most beautiful surroundings - very peaceful and private. La Bugue is 5mins walk, the river about 10mins and it is a short drive from many local attractions. The house was immaculate, well decorated and equiped with everything we needed. The surrounding garden allows privacy with beautiful seating areas. The pool was an added bonus and is very well maintained. Benji and Sabine were both friendly, very helpful and responsive. We did not want to leave and would 100% recommend it.
Far and away the best stay we have had. Amazing location just a few steps from the heart of Le Bugue and the Tuesday/Saturday markets as well as multiple restaurants and boulangeries. The property itself is even nicer than the pictures, lovely pool, honey colored stone construction as well as perfectly manicured garden. There was also absolutely nothing missing. It had everything we could want - multiple options for coffee, sharp knives, full set of cooking utensils, serving platters, etc. Benji and Nick have set the bar exceptionally high for all hosts - incredibly responsive and provided excellant suggestions for activities and things to see. We cannot recommend the property or hosts highly enough.
Spent a fantastic week in this beautiful house, enjoying the grounds and position atop a hill on the edge of Le Bugue. Everything was decorated and furnished to a high standard, the pool was stunning (& saltwater a bonus) and just the right size and temperature and the gardens were beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble and we loved strolling into town at various points throughout the day as well as hikes in the surrounding hills and forests with the dog and going for runs along the river. Highly recommend a stay!
This is a really lovely house in the beautiful setting of a lovely garden with pool & trampoline! All the rooms are bright & well furnished & the kitchen is very well kitted out with everything we needed. We did not eat inside at all in the week we stayed, the outside eating area is perfect, with dappled shade and an excellent bbq. This lovely house in its big garden is situated on a hill with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside but is only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Le Bugue. Le Bugue has shops, cafés, bars, restaurants and a great market on Tuesdays. We loved the croissant outing every morning before breakfast!
A great property in lovely and large grounds. Lots of activities, including table tennis, badminton, boules, and a large trampoline. Also a wide range of games in the house. Le Bugue is literally a 5 minute walk downhill, and is a very pleasant small town. Benji and Nick are very welcoming hosts who have clearly put a lot of love and effort into the property. An excellent holiday.
The property was stunning, beautiful garden, very peaceful although minutes to walk to centre of village, we had everything we needed for our stay with lots of extra thought put in to accommodate all family members, definitely worth a visit and would highly recommend.
We have just enjoyed a lovely week here as a family of 10. The host is so lovely and welcoming, can answer any questions you have about the area etc. The house and grounds are stunning. Well kept, tranquil and a lovely space to spend your time. The children loved feeding the fish in the pond every day, the pool area was great to spend the sunny days and our dog loved the large garden. The house was equipped with everything you could think of and the large collection of games/books were a bonus! Will definitely be coming back.
This wonderful house exceeded our expectations! The outside space and pool were perfect for my family, plenty of space to play/relax together or separately. The house was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The host was welcoming, helpful, discreet yet there if needed. A truely fabulous holiday!

We had a fabulous stay. The location is beautiful and the house is great. It is extremely well equipped both inside and out. We all said that it is even better than the photos and that it’s good value for money. It is an easy walk into town which we liked and a good base to go off exploring the area. The communication with Benji before our arrival was clear and friendly and she was responsive and available when we were there but never intrusive.
This was a beautiful property in idyllic surroundings. The main house was spacious and extremely well equipped, particularly the kitchen. There were lots of games and the pool table to keep us well amused! The Pigeonnier was delightful and gave some adults the privacy they needed. The pool and grounds were also beautiful with magnificent views. We were 5 minutes walk from Le Bugue with its weekly market, local shops and restaurants which our children were able to walk to very safely. All just lovely!
This is our second visit to this fabulous house set in beautiful grounds - and one which has absolutely everything you need to make staying here so easy. It's perfect position to walk into Le Bugue for cafes, shops and restaurants made this holiday even more relaxing. The hosts are so charming and friendly and could not be more helpful.
We all agreed that La Bessade Haute was one of the best family
holidays we have had over many years, not just because of the delights
of Le Bugue, but because of the attention to detail and terrific
support from the friendly owners, Benji-Lyn and Nick. We could not
have been happier with the delightful accommodation and quiet, but
convenient, location - and are already planning to return.

This is a beautiful and spacious property in stunning grounds, and in a fantastic location within easy walking distance into Le Bugue town. It's incredibly well-equipped in the kitchen with everything you could possibly need - very much home from home. The hosts are charming, friendly and extremely helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend to our friends and family and certainly plan to return ourselves. We had a fabulous time and would not change a thing!
