Dordogne gem ***** This is a beautiful traditional property of the area which has been tastefully renovated by the owner making it a real home from home for our party of six adults. The setting is perfect for exploring the beautiful villages of the Dordogne as well as the local village and all it has to offer. The actual cooking area in the kitchen is quite small for the size of the room but there was a large kitchen table which seated eight comfortably both inside and outside. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery, utensils, pans etc. The pool and decking areas outside were a good size and provided plenty of shade in the hot weather. We had an issue with the dishwasher in the first few days which caused the electricity to go off and a leak under the kitchen sink but this was dealt with very quickly by the property manager and a replacement dishwasher was provided. There was no change of bed linen provided which could have been a problem in bad weather as the tumble dryer did not work. However we had lots of lovely weather so it was not a problem. There were plenty of towels in an upstairs cupboard. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend this property. We certainly would like to visit again.
